Over the past several years, artificial intelligence has drastically changed the way we live. We have become accustomed to living with sophisticated technologies that can think faster than humans and carry out complex tasks without the need for scheduled pauses or sleep. Examples include Siri and Alexa on our phones, smart watches and speakers, Chat GPT, self-driving cars and automated factories. The future of human freedom, privacy, autonomy, decision-making, ownership rights, etc., however, are being called into question as these technologies become stronger and oppressive.
If we fail to carefully think about it, artificial intelligence (AI) presents serious challenges to humans and society everywhere.

Now is the time to take a step back and reflect and question ourselves about what would be a desirable future for ourselves, our kids and generations to come.
As AI becomes increasingly intelligent, autonomous, and integrated into our lives, there is potential for unforeseen consequences that pose risks to human safety, security, freedom, privacy, democracy and health.
How would the future AI treat humanity? Could AI outperform humans at work, snuff out career possibilities, and leave millions in poverty? Will AI be the first technological advancement to make dictatorships easier to retain rather than more difficult to overthrow? Do new decentralizing technological trends that enable anybody with an internet connection to build global services without depending on conventional central authority provide any hope for individuals who are concerned about such possibilities?
We believe there already are a lot of such innovations and developments. To us, this is what is so exciting about Web3. Let’s look at some examples. Distributed ledger tech (blockchain), allowing independent verification of data via cryptocurrencies and tokens; Cryptocurrencies, creating alternatives to national fiat money; Zero Knowledge Proofs, enabling secrecy around private user information while validating identity claims, supply chains etcetera; Using Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), groups of individuals can make decisions without the need of command hierarchies. We imagine living in a nearby future where DAOcracies are common and politicians are no longer necessary. No more bureaucracy to design and implement social laws, smart contracts will replace them eventually.
Or what to think of Identity validation systems that don't require permission from giant corporations, centralized or state entities; Data markets where users earn revenues directly; Decentralized Money and finance systems (DeFi) not run by the FED, any central bank or government; What about Mechanisms of governance beyond the realm of nation-states? The separation of money and state is within our grasp. It’s up to us basically. That is why we believe education on these topics is so important.
